Target audience of the presentation: researchers in the sciences of complexity from the natural and cultural point of view. Interested in environmental and ecological issues seen from the systemic point of view of the sea and space. Interested in cultural issues in general.

A short biography:

The engineer Néstor Antonio Domínguez was born in Puerto Belgrano on July 30, 1934. He is a retired Captain of the Argentine Navy, Electronic Engineer of the Navy with studies at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires and an advanced student of philosophy of the same university.

For more than 30 years, he developed his naval career in very diverse units of the Sea Fleet and different assignments on land. After voluntarily retiring from active service, he was Advisor to the General Staff of the Navy on Satellite Matters, he took part in the Commission that drafted the specifications for the international tender for the “Nahuel” Telecommunications Satellite System and in the drafting of the National Space Plan and in its first review (from 1989 to 2007).

He was a member of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Navy (for 15 years) and professor, researcher, director of undergraduate thesis and tutor of research projects at the National Defense School (current University of Defense) (for 12 years).

He served as Pro-Secretary, Secretary and President of the Academia del Mar (being a Founding Academician of the same) and is currently an Emeritus Academician, as a member and advisor of the Integrated Systems Study Group (GESI) and as a university professor with 30 years teaching seniority.

He is the author of various works (about 30) and numerous national and international articles on topics within his professional competence (about 160).
